Version 1.0 Date last updated 25/04/89 IAEA A+M Data Unit ALADDIN Dictionary File ------------------------------------------ General ALADDIN Glossary ------------------------ HELP ? To query the ALADDIN dictionary for a character string, type the string followed by a question mark. A description of the contents of this dictionary file can be viewed by entering DICT followed by a question mark. For a summary of ALADDIN interactive commands use the command "H" DICT ? This dictionary defines the meaning of special symbols used to create ALADDIN entries and also contains all the current IAEA Boolean labels. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- $ ? The "$" symbol, in column 1, denotes the start of an ALADDIN entry. The "$" character, with optional suffix, is taken as the access label. A blank access label suffix means that standard ALADDIN entry routines are to be used. The "$" symbol with, optional suffix, is folowed by the blank delimeted hierarchical labels. & ? The "&" symbol denotes the end of the hierarchical and the start of the Boolean labels. # ? The "#" symbol denotes the end of the labels fields. The "#" symbol, with optional suffix, identifies the evaluation function which is used by ALADDIN to generate numeric data values from the information in the coefficient field which follows. ! ? The "!" symbol, entered in column 1, of a line identifies that the information on the remainder of that line are comments for the particular entry. REC ? Data recommended by IAEA Atomic and Molecular Data Unit EVAL ? Data evaluated and/or recommended by a source other than the IAEA Atomic and Molecular Data Unit COMP ? Data compilation FORM ?
